Filing Fees
: USD 500 (Service Fees: USD 400; Official Fees: USD 100, including a priority claim fee).
Registration Fees
: USD 200 (Service Fees: USD 130; Official Fees: USD 70).
If the design application proceeds smoothly to registration without an office action, the total fees for one design will be USD 700.

Design Time frame The Korean design application system consists of:
Substantive Examination System (SES)
: Typical timeline is 9–12 months (assuming no Office Action).
Partial Substantive Examination System (PSES)
: Timeline is 2–3 months (assuming no Office Action).
The PSES applies to articles with short lifecycles and sensitivity to trends, such as:
Foodstuffs (Class 1)
Clothing and haberdashery (Class 2),
Travel goods (Class 3)
Textile piecegoods, artificial and natural sheet material (Class 5)
Packages (Class 9)
Articles of adornment (Class 11)
Stationery and office equipment, artists' and teaching materials (Class 19)
The Locarno Classification contains 32 classes, however, Korea only use 31 classes.

Applicant’s name, address, and nationality.
Designer’s name, address, and nationality (Designer must be an individual).
Name of Article
Drawings : Perspective view, front/rear views, right/left side views, top/bottom views, and sectional views if necessary. Flat designs require only top and bottom views.
Description of Drawings
Priority information and certified documents (if claiming priority).
